Welcome to FCSE 2010!

The University of Georgia offers newly accepted first-year students an exciting alternative to regular summer school that provides you with an early start to your academic career.

The Freshman College Summer Experience
The Freshman College is a month-long residential experience allowing regularly admitted first-year students to earn six hours of course credit toward graduation. Unlike regular summer school, however, the Freshman College offers a comprehensive learning experience for participants. Not only will you attend daily classes and complete rigorous and challenging coursework, but you will also participate in a series of programs and events “beyond class” designed to introduce you to the varied and exceptional resources at the University of Georgia. These Beyond Class programs are an integral part of the Freshman College. Each program is designed to help immerse you in campus life and to assist you in reaching your fullest potential at UGA.

The Freshman College is designed for students who are interested in devoting their time and energy to contributing to their own personal success and the overall success of the program. The Freshman College is looking for students who can combine a desire to actively participate in the program with a strong willingness to learn.

To determine if the Freshman College is right for you please carefully read the information contained on this website.
