Meal Plans for the Academic Year
Meal plans for the 2008/2009 academic year are available by calling (706) 542-7130 or by visiting
http://www.uga.edu/foodservice.
Housing Registration
All entering UGA students must register for housing at http://www.uga.edu/housing.
As a FCSE student, you will register SEPARATELY for both Freshmen Summer College 2008 and Fall 2008. The housing website defaults to Fall 2008, so
register for fall semester first. When you register for summer 2008, be sure to change the term on the website to the FCSE option for Summer 2008.
There is no additional housing registration fee for Summer 2008.
When registering for housing for Freshmen College, you must indicate Russell Hall is your first preference for both summer and fall semesters. Students
who participate in the Freshmen College are not eligible to sign up for other academic communities (i.e., Honors in Myers Hall, Creswell Learning
Communities, etc.)
If you wish to make a room change after being assigned, you must wait until the room change process begins for fall semester. All room change information
is available on the Department of University Housing website (http://www.uga.edu/housing).
Roommates
Are you looking for a roommate for next year? If so, you can go to The Dawg House! The Dawg House is a roommate searching program available to UGA
students. The program will assist you in connecting with other incoming residents who do not yet have a roommate preference. To access The Dawg House,
go to www.uga.edu/housing. Click on “Registration and Contracts.” If you find a roommate, you must modify your preferences on the housing registration
website. Please Note: ALL FCSE roommate preferences must be completed and updated by midnight on Sunday, May 11, 2008, or they will not be considered!
Should you wish to make a make a roommate request, your preferred roommate must also be a FCSE participant and mutually request you as a roommate.
Once again, housing assignments for summer will be in effect for both summer and the upcoming academic year. Any requests for a roommate who is not
in the FCSE will not be honored.
Notification
Room and roommate assignments will be available in June and housing contracts will be available in mid-June. Information will be sent to you via your
UGA email with more specific information. Please remember that you will have TWO CONTRACTS TO ACTIVATE – one for the FCSE and one for the
2008-2009 academic year.
Please Note: Only students admitted to the FCSE program will be assigned to a space in Russell Hall for the FCSE Summer program. Check-in for the
summer program will be on Sunday, June 29, 2008. Russell Hall will close for the 4th of July holiday on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 and will re-open on
Sunday, July 6th. Students participating in the summer program should make the appropriate arrangements to vacate Russell Hall during this time.
