Costs

The program fee for the 2010 Freshman College Summer Experience is $1400. Participants are also responsible for the cost of tuition (in-state and out-of-state), university fees, and books. The program fee includes all expenses for Freshman College housing, a seven-day meal plan, your UGA Orientation session and special programs and events.

Individual personal expenses are not included in the program fee. The rates for 2010/2011 tuition and fees are released after the Spring Board of Regents meeting. The following chart calculates estimated expenses for the Freshman College using the 2009 tuition and fee rates as an example.

We will update the cost of tuition and fees once we receive the new information. Please contact the FCSE Office if you have any questions (706-583-0724 or fcse@uga.edu).

HOPE Scholarship Recipients
The HOPE Scholarship covers the cost of tuition and most fees and provides a stipend for books. The HOPE Scholarship does not pay for the Freshman College program fee. During the online tuition payment process students have the option of allowing the book stipend to pay for additional fees that HOPE does not cover. If a student does not opt to have the book stipend pay for these fees then the student’s check will be mailed to his/her permanent address.
